VALT and Ztyn.
Ztyn and VALT start from the same material — a 6061-T6 aluminium billet, sandblasted and anodised. The interesting difference is in how each one attaches to a phone.
As with any comparison, check the other side's current specification yourself before you decide. Products change, and we are not going to quote numbers for a case we do not build. What follows is what VALT commits to, and the one question we think is worth asking.

What to check on any magnetic pouch case
"Magnetic" and "MagSafe" are not the same claim. A steel plate or ring will stick to a magnet, which is enough to hold a case to a magnetic mount or to a phone case that already contains magnets. It is not the same as carrying the magnet array itself, and a case that relies on the phone side to supply the magnets will not hold to a bare iPhone.
VALT carries both parts: a MagSafe ring module for alignment and a steel flux plate, both bonded into the chassis. It aligns and holds the way an official MagSafe accessory does, with no requirement for a magnetic wallet or a particular phone case in between.
Whichever you are looking at, the question is: does the case contain the magnets, or does it expect your phone case to?
And the used pouch
The other thing worth checking on any pouch case is whether spent pouches get their own space. VALT gives them a full-depth cavity running the width of the case, separate from the eight fresh slots. The used pouches guide covers why that matters more than it sounds.
